Sepp Blatter- Money is ruining football.

Sepp Blatter has launched a scathing attack on what he sees as "individuals with little or no history of interest in the game" who see football as "a means of serving some hidden agenda."

Could this be the same Sepp Blatter once accused of being the most corrupt man in sport and of having sold football's soul? Could this be the same Sepp Blatter once accused of bribing African referee Lucien Bouchardeau $25,000 to smear rivals ?

No one knows exactly how much Blatter is paid. FIFA hide behind Swiss laws that mean not only do we not know his salary, we also dont really knows the details of how the organisation is run. FIFA is still virtually bankrupt due to Blatters catastrophic loss of money when sports marketing company ISL collapsed that then secretary general Michael Zen-Ruffinen estimated to be over $100 million. FIFA are in negative equity and if there is a shortfall in projected marketing revenue from Germany 06 the worlds governing body will be in serious trouble.

Blatter ends by saying that Fifa cannot "sit by and see greed rule the football world", promising a taskforce dedicated to dealing with the situation.

Perhaps Herr Blatter may wish to look a little closer to home before laying charges at the feet of others
