Wolves Sign Irwin

Wolves today signed Man Utd full back Denis Irwin on a one year deal. This is fantastic news for Wolves who have been rumoured to star for some time.

Denis was introduced to the waiting media at 11-30 this morning, very much looking forward to transferring his United success to the old gold.

Irwin said to WOW "I know just how big this club is and i know they should have gone up last season, this year is going to be a big challenge and i'm looking forward to it."

I for one am looking forward to seeing Irwin in a Wolves shirt, and maybe some people will say 35 is a bit old however if Denis can transform his past exploits at United to Wolves, we are in for some great times with Irwin in the ranks.

Irwin also added"I wanted to join a club with ambition one that provided a new challenge, Wolves were the biggest and the best that came in for me."

Denis has won everything in football especially at Utd were he won ,seven premier league titles ,winning the FA cup twice and won the League cup , European cup winners cup and the European cup once.

He won't figure at Kidderminster wednesday night but will be in contention for a place at Stockport on saturday.

The long awaited rumour has finally come true and i am very much looking forward to seeing Denis Irwin in a Wolves shirt soon.
