Hoddle Fails In His Bid To Strengthen

As the loan window closes, Glenn Hoddle has revealed that whilst he has failed to bring in any new faces, it was not for the want of trying.

While everyone thought he was inactive, the Wolves manager was once again busy behind the scenes trying to bring much needed quality to the club's forward line, with Kenny Miller and Carl Cort still sidelined.

Attempts to bring Kevin Campbell to Molineux from The Hawthorns, Heidar Helguson from Fulham and Carlton Cole drom Stamford Bridge all failed to come to fruition

"We tried to get those three players but it's difficult for clubs to let them go when there's a lot of football coming up over Christmas." said Hoddle

"One of the players wanted to stay and fight for his place but the clubs blocked the moves of the other two."

Meanwhile, possible January target Krzysztof Gajtkowski has confirmed that he wants a move abroad. The 25 year old player's agent has confirmed his desire to move to Britain from his current club, Lech Poznan. He is also wanted by three other Polish clubs.
