Fans stand and applaud the life of George Best

WOLVES and Southampton Fans today stood together in a spectacular mark of respect for Manchester legend George Best who passed away yesterday .As Celtic Fans will replicate on Sunday, Wolves and Saints fans stood for one minutes applause.

The Football League had ordered all the 92 Football League clubs to stand for a one minutes silence as a mark of respect for the late George Best, however Live on Sky Sports Wolves Fans had something unusual planned.

It was believed that Best would rather have had the fans applauding his life than standing in silence. So at 2.30pm today Wolves and Southampton Fans stood for a minute, applauding and breaking out into chants of "There's only one Georgie Best". A fitting tribute to one of the greatest footballers of all time.
