Glenn Hoddle Admits Hendrie Interest

Reports are circulating that seem to confirm Glenn Hoddle may make a move for Aston Villa'sout of favour ex England star Lee Hendrie.

Apparently surplus to requirements at Villa, Hendrie has been frozen out by David O'leary at the one club he has played for in his 11 year proffesional career.

Hoddle is looking to strengthen his side in the New Year and kickstart their faltering push for promotion back to The Premiership.

''He is a good player and I admire him,'' said Hoddle."

"We have spoken to Lee before. When the January sales are on we will look at strengthening the team." 

29 year old Hendry is eager to see regular first team football, and his skill, speed and close control, mainly used in the left midfield berth, may seem him make the short move across the midlands to achieve it.
