Nottingham Forest and Derby County are the types of clubs we hould be playing week in week out. After so many years the Bluebirds need to start proving they can compete at this level...

Cardiff City have two games in three days against teams who both won the league championship in the 1970’s.

They begin the weekend at the revamped City to take on a Forest side still smarting from a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Reading last time out.

Manager Lennie Lawrence will pick from a strong first team squad, with the exception of Peter Thorne who is still recovering from injury. The likely team will be the same as the one which lost at Ninian Park last week to Bradford City.

2,500 all with the shiny new membership cards should make for a noisy away end, and the BTTB crew will be there to bring first hand reports later on Saturday evening.
