Kavanagh Set to Miss Britannia Trip

City skipper Graham Kavanagh looks set to miss the visit to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, where the Bluebirds take-on his former-club Stoke City. The Irish midfielder, injured on international duty, is also likely to miss Preston North End's visit to Ninian Park on the following Tuesday.

| Graham Kavanagh looks set to miss the
match against his former-club on Saturday, as the Bluebirds travel to the
Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke City. The City skipper was injured a couple of weeks ago whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, sustaining heavy bruising to his knee. Early indications said that Kavanagh would be back for the visit to the Potteries at the latest, but as we have seen before the City physic team were to optimistic with their predictions and the midfielder is expected to be out for at least a week longer. Preston North End visit Ninian Park on December 9th, but this is likely to come to soon for on-form Kavanagh to make his comeback, with the visit to high-flying Norwich City the new expected return game for the Irish international. Kavanagh's absence in the midfield over the last few games has been noticeable. Richard Langley and Mark Bonner are doing well as replacement in the centre of the park, but the presence of the £1million man is obviously missed by the City line-up, and the faithful on the terraces. |
