Lennie Lawrence had admitted he is worried by the current situation at Ninian Park, after he watched his side slump to a fourth consecutive defeat at Vicarage Road. The City boss hinted that a battle against relegation is still a possibility, despite the recent words from our ambitious owner.

Only weeks after chairman Sam Hammam told City supporters they can 'rot in hell' if they don't get behind City's promotion bid to the Premiership this season in favour of consolidation in the First Division, manager Lennie Lawrence has given cross a very different view point. Following the 2-1 defeat at Vicarage Road against a Watford side who showed great spirit in coming from behind, Lawrence told the media how unless the rot starts then the club will be looking at a lower-table battle. "I'm bitterly disappointed. Our defending was woeful. I warned the players at half time not to get too deep or let the ball bounce and they did just that to concede the equaliser," said Lawrence. "I'm increasingly concerned about our situation. Any cushion we had in the First Division has been wiped out by our own ineptitude. "We are still in mid-table but unless we put this right and stop the rot we will start looking behind us."
