The tannoy man announced yesterday attendance as 14,021, but it was in fact a mistake from the broadcaster with the real gate at Ninian Park a lowly 13,021. The attendance was City's lowest league crowd of the campaign.

error on Saturday with the half-time broadcaster incorrectly
announcing the attendance at Ninian Park. It was announced as 14,021, when the attendance was actually 13,021. For the record, this was City's lowest attendance in league action all season. Further evidence of how fickle many of our supporters are! That number includes a following of approximately 250 from Rotherham. City lowest crowds in all competitions this season was the dismal 4,503 that turned up to watch City kick-off their League Cup campaign with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Third Division Leyton Orient. Incidentally, that was the first home match since 35,000 City fans watched the Bluebirds win at the Millennium Stadium, where were they for the Cup tie?! City's average league crowd now lies at 15,637 which is the 10th highest in the division. The current leaders are West Ham United, with an average gate of 30,782 for league matches at the Boleyn Ground. |
