Lennie Lawrence has confirmed that he is interested in signing York City midfielder Lee Bullock. The 22-year-old midfielder is a key player at Bootham Crescent, and is highly rated in the Third Division.

the better players in the Third Division.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Ninian Park before, and City would be able to sign the youngster for only £75,000 as York's financial worries continue. With City not in action next weekend, Lawrence will make the journey to Bootham Crescent as York entertain Huddersfield Town to watch Bullock in action and is likely to make a decision on whether to make an approach for Stockton-born player then. "We are still interested in Lee Bullock and I will be going up to watch him play for York." confirmed the City boss. Bullock prefers a more attacking role in the midfield, and can even play behind the front-two strikers. He has been a driving part of the success that has seen York flirt in and out of the play-off zone so far this season. York City are yet to comment on the interest from the Bluebirds, and would certainly not want to part with their prize asset as the club aims for promotion this term. Bullock has been with York since he was a trainee, and has made 161 league appearances for the club to date, with 22 league goals. He is a bit of a fan-favourite at Bootham Crescent, so even if Cardiff made an offer a move to South Wales would not be definite for Bullock. |
