| Despite announcing that a move to
Cardiff City interested him, Welsh goalkeeper Paul Jones has signed a 2-year
contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers, which will surely means he will
finish his career with the Midlands outfit.
Jones is set to complete his medical at Molineux, and will officially put pen-to-paper at the end of the week. Amazingly, this is the third time that Wolves boss Dave Jones has signed the 'keeper, with the two Jones' together at both Stockport County and Southampton. The 36-year-old veteran is currently enjoying a one-month loan spell with the club he supporters, Liverpool, and whether or not he will complete this spell at Anfield before joining Wolves is unknown. It's disappointing that a 'keeper with the quality of Paul Jones will not be signing, but at least his move to Wolves almost certainly confirms that duo Martyn Margetson and Neil Alexander will both be staying at Ninian Park for next season. |
