Cardiff City reserves earned revenge for their defeat to Bristol Rovers only a few weeks ago, with a 3-0 victory over our rivals from across the bridge at Ninian Park on Wednesday. Goals from Michael Parkins, Cameron Jerome and Stuart Fleetwood were enough more than enough for the hosts.

believe that James Collins was all set-up for an international call-up for
the upcoming international friendly against Scotland, so playing a reserve
team game on the day he was supposed to be warming up for his first Welsh
cap was hardly a morale booster for the defender, but the Newport-born
reserve skipper helped City's second-string to another victory as they look
to win the Wales and West England title. It was sweet revenge for the Cardiff reserves, brushing aside Bristol Rovers 3-0 at Ninian Park. The Pirates hammered Paul Wilkinson's side 4-1 only weeks ago, but goals from Michael Parkins, Cameron Jerome and Stuart Fleetwood made sure there was no repeat of that! The City reserves have three home games left this season, once of which is against the Jacks, and look in good stead to win the league title which would be a fantastic achievement. It's been entertaining stuff so far this season! |
