Cardiff City could be taking on St. Patrick's Athletic in a friendly match on the weekend commencing March 6th. The Bluebirds have no game that weekend due to Millwall's participation in the F.A Cup, and have expressed interest in a game against the Irish outfit.

St. Patrick's Athletic in a friendly match on the weekend commencing March
6th, with the Bluebirds having no fixture on that date due to Millwall's
participation in the F.A Cup. The Bluebirds, Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all said to be interested in facing the Irish outfit in friendly action, with the Eircom League start only weeks away. "Clubs have indicated their willingness to travel over and we are awaiting confirmation. Games like theses are important revenue earners for us and it also gives me the chance to test the match fitness levels of our squad ahead of the season start." said Saints boss Eamonn Collins. A possible match with any of the three clubs interested would be a good way of raising money for the Inchicore based side, and could provide a good weekend away for supporters. City's Irish trio Alan Lee, Willie Boland and Graham Kavanagh would surely enjoy such an event! |
