City's FAW Premier Cup semi-final clash against Wrexham will be screened live on BBC Wales. The Bluebirds visit the Racecourse to face the North Walians on March 24th, with the game kicking-off at 6.55pm.

Cardiff City's FAW Premier Cup semi-final clash against Wrexham will be screened live on BBC Wales.

The Bluebirds visit the Racecourse to face the holders and Division Two play-off hopefuls Wrexham on March 24th, with the game kicking-off at 6.55pm.

The Robins treat this competition very seriously, and fielded a first choice side in their quarter-final tie against Total Network Solutions, with the Football League side stumbling into the last four with a fortunate 2-0 win. Cardiff also counted themselves a little lucky in the quarter-finals, with a hard-fought 1-0 away win at Spytty Park against local rivals Newport County. Stuart Fleetwood was the scorer.

Hopefully Lennie Lawrence will not field the largely weakened side that City have done for the last few years in this competition, but it's likely. Youth players and a few reserves made up the team at Spytty Park in the quarter-finals, and you wouldn't expect the line-up against to be a whole lot stronger, although judging by the strong reserve line-ups we've been fielding of late maybe we'll see a few first-team players in action!

The winners will play either Rhyl or Swansea City in the final which will be held at the ground of one of clubs competing in the match. A potential repeat of the 2002 final against the Jacks will be something all Bluebirds supporters will be keeping their eyes on!
