As usual, Mark Hughes suffers a selection headache for Wales' friendly with Hungary, with a large number of the original squad dropping out with injuries, including our very own Paul Parry. The absentees has opened the door to uncapped Bluebird James Collins, who will now travel to Budapest.

| Mark Hughes has suffered the usual
selection headache ahead of Wednesday's friendly with Hungary, with 10 Welsh
players now having pulled out with injuries, many of them dubious to say the
least. City's Paul Parry has missed our last three matches, and has pulled out of the trip with a hamstring injury. The left winger is almost certain to start for the Bluebirds against Gillingham at the weekend, but is currently not deemed fully fit, so Lennie Lawrence doesn't want him to travel. The number of drop-outs from the original squad has has opened the door for uncapped Cardiff defender and Welsh under-21 skipper James Collins to be added to the squad. Mark Hughes witnessed Collins put in an impressive performance against Sheffield United on Saturday, and the Newport-born centre-half also showed promise at Gresty Road and the Racecourse Stadium previous to that. Robert Earnshaw, Daniel Gabbidon and Martyn Margetson are all also travelling with the Welsh squad, with Gabbidon looking very likely to start the game in Budapest. Robert Earnshaw is also in the frame for a start, whilst uncapped Martyn Margetson will be hoping to be involved at some stage. |
