Vidmar Not Included in Aussies Victory

Cardiff City's Tony Vidmar was not included in the Australia line-up that beat South Africa 1-0 at Loftus Road. The defender and current City skipper was named in the Aussies squad, but failed to make an appearance during the friendly.

Tony Vidmar was not involved in Australia's latest match, despite being named in the original squad. The Socceroos beat South African 1-0, courtesy of a 19th minute strike from Marco Bresciano.

The game was played at London's Loftus Road, due to the travelling times for many players should the game be played in either home country, and the game seemed to generate a fair amount of interest.
