Brian Kerr brought City striker Alan Lee on for the last 13 minutes, as the Republic of Ireland beat the Czech Republic 2-1 at Lansdowne Road. Ian Harte and Robbie Keane goals were sandwiched between Milan Baros' goal for the Czech's, as the Irish recorded another impressive victory.

City forward Alan Lee played the last 13 minutes of the Republic of Ireland's 2-1 friendly international victory over Czech Republic's at Lansdowne Road.

Robbie Keane hit an injury time winner for the Irish to end a 20-game unbeaten run that has seen the Czechs show themselves as one of the leading forces in world football. Ian Harte had given the hosts the lead minutes into the second-half with a powerful free-kick typical of the defender, before Liverpool's Milan Baros equalised with ten minutes to go, which seemed to have given his side a draw, before Keane pounced in the dieing seconds.

Lee had an impact when introduced, going close on two opportunities. The former Rotherham target-man put in a sparkling performance against Sheffield United for the Bluebirds last Saturday, and currently seems to be on top form.
