City 'XI' Will Face Chippenham Town

Cardiff City have added another fixture to their pre-season schedule, with an 'XI' facing Chippenham Town at Hardenhuish Park on July 18th. The Dr Martens outfit are also nicknamed the Bluebirds!

Cardiff City will send an 'XI', probably reserve team players, to Hardenhuish Park on July 18th to face Chippenham Town in a pre-season friendly. Reserve-like sides are already facing away trips to three Welsh pyramid sides, with Paul Wilkinson likely to take charge for games against Haverfordwest County, Barry Town and Carmarthen Town.

The Dr Martens Premier League outfit, who are also nicknamed Bluebirds, narrowly missed out on a place in the newly formed Conference Two and will provide a stern test for City's second-string.

Meanwhile, the City seniors are yet to add any additional dates to their pre-season calendar. It is rumoured that Celta Vigo could send a side to South Wales for a friendly at Ninian Park, but at present the club has only booked away trips against Chester City, Mansfield Town, Yeovil Town, Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers.
