Cardiff City have added another pre-season fixture to their calendar, with La Liga outfit Racing Santander visiting Ninian Park. The exciting friendly match on July 31st is the first home game the club have booked for their Football League preparations.
Cardiff City have added another fixture to their pre-season schedule. With six senior side away friendly arranged, the club have announced their first home fixture as Spanish outfit Racing Santander visit Ninian Park for a warm-up match.
The Bluebirds will entertain the La Liga outfit on Saturday July 31st, one week before the First Division season starts where City will visit Gresty Road to face Crewe Alexandra.
Racing Santander are one of the weaker sides in the Spanish top flight, narrowly avoiding relegation last year. However, the friendly looks an interesting encounter and far more entertaining than the games against Premiership 'XI's' that have been the trend in recent seasons.
The club now have six friendlies booked, but it is a possibility that two more will be arranged before the start of the season. The current line-up looks as follows:
Senior Fixtures:
| Date | Opposition | Venue |
| 20th July | Chester City | Away |
| 24th July | Mansfield Town | Away |
| 27th July | Yeovil Town | Away |
| 29th July | Cheltenham Town | Away |
| 31st July | Racing Santander | Home |
| 3rd August | Forest Green Rovers | Away |
