Paul Parry, Peter Thorne and Graham Kavanagh were on target for the Bluebirds as City secured a much-needed 3-2 away win against Wolves. Could this be the morale boost needed to drag Lennie Lawrence's side away from a relegation scrap?
What a difference a week makes! The mood at Ninian Park is very, very different to seven days previous following a memorable 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers which lifted Lennie Lawrence's side out of the relegation zone and could be the kick-start to the Football League campaign the club has needed.
Goals from Paul Parry, Peter Thorne and Graham Kavanagh were enough to stun the Midlands outfit, who are still searching for their first home victory of the season despite being one of the bookmakers' favourites for automatic promotion. Carl Cort had equalised for the hosts and Paul Ince made it a nervous finish but there is little doubt that struggling Cardiff deserved the three points.
