The Bluebirds have never won or even scored at The Withdean Stadium. They will need to build on the weekends victory over Rotherham if they are to come back from Sussex with anything.

Manager Lawrence praised tonights opponents by saying "Brighton, and manager Mark McGhee in particular, have done a terrific job at a club who have limited resources. It's an unusual ground with the pitch at the centre of an athletics track and the attendance won't be that high. But none of that must affect us. We cannot look round at where we are and wonder what we are doing there. "

The Bluebirds however face a Brighton outfit who have only one win on home soil this season, 1-0 against Preston. They are finding the Championship a tougher proposition than the division two which they left with a play off win in Cardiff last spring.
