Ex-Bluebird Arran Lee-Barrett has signed for Weymouth FC of the Conference South. The 25-year-old goalkeeper failed to register a Football League appearance at Ninian Park, and was released at the end of the campaign.

Former Cardiff City goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett has joined ambitious non-league outfit Weymouth FC on a free transfer. Lee-Barrett's unsuccessful career at Ninian Park ended over the summer after Lennie Lawrence decided to release the fourth-choice goalkeeper from the squad, and he has now moved to the Conference South.

Lee-Barrett moved to Ninian Park from Norwich City and was thought to be a 'keeper with a big future. Despite several impressive outings for the reserves, he has failed to breakdown the goalkeeping trio of Tony Warner, Martyn Margetson and Neil Alexander and at the age of 25 now finds himself surplus requirements.

The Terras are a striving club who aims to be in the Football League in the not-so-distant future. Lee-Barrett will hope to play a key role in their Conference South campaign next term, and could fly out to Dublin with Weymouth planning a pre-season tour to the Irish capital.

Good luck at the Wessex Stadium.
