Accrington Stanley 1 v Cardiff City 3

Richard Langley, Willie Boland and Camerone Jerome all scored for Cardiff City as the Bluebirds got off to a good pre season start at Accrington Stanley on 16th July.....

On a very hot afternoon at the Interlink Express Stadium a new look city side playing in their dreadful new kit, was made up of even more recent signings and prospective players.

Another Ulsterman, joining Jeff Whitely, Phil Mulryne from Norwich City played as did young Scot Jamie McCunnie. Both players could soon sign permanent deals with the Bluebirds.

Darren Purse the WBA defender was at the ground apparently Davied Jones is trying to get him to sign instead of joining other championship rivals....

For the record, the full line up and changes (in brackets) was as follows.

Alexander ( Warner 46 ), Weston ( McCunnie 46 ), Cox ( Parslow 46 ), Loonens ( Anthony 46 ), Barker, Mulryne ( Fleetwood 46, ), Boland, Langley (Koskela 46 ), Parry, Lee ( Jerome 46 ), Ferretti ( Campbell 46).

I suppose some things never change and both Andy Campbell and Alan Lee failed to score!

In more rumours off the pitch apparently Jason Koumas has been offered terms but is considering an offer from Wolves' boss Glen Hoddle.
