Richard Langley, Martyn Margetson and Andrew Campbell are all waiting for the call from the departure lounge. Dave Jones has confirmed that the Cardiff City trio have no place at Ninian Park and will be offloaded as soon as possible.

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has publicly revealed that he is looking to offload Martyn Margetson, Richard Langley and Andrew Campbell as the Football League campaign gets into full swing. It comes as no surprise that the Bluebirds are in line to depart Ninian Park as the club battle to reduce a crippling wage bill and remove players unlikely to be in first-team contention this season.

"When you've got players you know you're not going to use, of course you try to get them out - that's just the way the business runs," said Jones.

"We are trying to move Campbell out and if you are trying to move a player out then I don't see any point in him being involved in the squad. He is treated exactly like all the pros are, but at the moment we are training with a squad of 18 and outside the 18 there are Richard Langley, Andy Campbell and Martyn Margetson that we are trying to move on. While they are still here it makes it difficult to bring others in."

Campbell will forever go down in Bluebirds folklore for his play-off final strike which sunk Queens Park Rangers in extra-time and promoted Lennie Lawrence's men to the Football League Championship. However, his performances in England's second flight have been abysmal and he ahs struggled with confidence. A drop down at least a division looks likely and few tears will be shed at the departure of the once England under-21 international.

Fans were very optimistic about the signing of the highly-rated Langley when he moved to South Wales from QPR for £250,000. However, his effort and commitment levels have been questioned and the London-born Jamaican international has struggled with consistency for two seasons. He has been heavily linked with a move back to the capital, with his best performances at Ninian Park still for Rangers!

Margetson has performed well in his few seasons at Ninian Park, serving well as an understudy to Neil Alexander and enjoying a few spells in the team. Unfortunately, the financial strain the club is under means that CCFC cannot accommodate three goalkeepers so the much-travelled North Welshman will make way for the younger Alexander and Warner.

The squad is certainly being freshened up, and if Tuesday's win over Leeds is anything to go by then long may it continue.
