They have done it again, thrown away two precious points in the closing minutes of a game! Cardiff should have come away from Turf Moor with all threee points but ended up with one and remain hivering just above the relegation zone...

The match summary goes along the following lines - After a minute Wade Elliott opened the scoring when he scored his first Burnley goal -after Cardiff failed to clear Ade Akinbiyi’s cross.

Cameron Jerome outpaced Frank Sinclair to level for the Bluebirds before Elliott scored again to put   Burnley back in the lead with a well struck volley.

New boy Glenn Loovens cored with a header just before half time put Cardiff City back on level terms again.

Darren Purse with a well struck penalty looked to have secured all three points 20 minutes before the end after Sinclair had fouled Camerone Jerome.

O’Connor headed the Burnley equaliser in the closing minutes to earn the Clarets a point.

“When you score three goals away from home, you should win the game,”  David Jones commented. How right he is.
