Cardiff City recorded their first ever win at the Withdean "stadium" thanks to a goal in the first half from Jason Koumas and one from substitute Alan Lee almost immediately after coming on....

Brighton are now firmly fixed to the bottom of the table, but for Cardiff City eyes are looking at the play off positions after another fine win. Three more valuable points and a feather in the David Jones substitution cap!

After the game the Cardiff boss said "Sometimes substitutes work for you, sometimes they don't, but I'm just delighted for Alan. He's been struggling with a groin injury since I arrived at the club and has worked so hard behind the scenes, and the goal will give him a huge injection of confidence. We had enough chances to win easily, but got sloppy and lazy to let them back in. But then we ran ourselves into the ground, and if you do that you've got a great chance to win games."
