Cardiff City kept in touch of the top six with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hull City. Cameron Jerome's long-range strike was enough to seal the points, but the Tigers posed the Bluebirds plenty of problems after the interval.
Rarely do I feel sorry for the "away" team but in all honesty Hull City deserved at least a point from the game, and they were by far the better team in the second half. They kept battling right to the end, but the Bluebirds held firm and thanks to a number of fine saves from Alexander in goal a clean sheet ensured three more points for the Welsh side.
Another poor crowd of just over 11,000 thanks to 500 from the North East. Sam must be wondering what else he can do to get the South Wales public interested in football week by week.
