Fans are ready to welcome Marcus

Many gasheads, including me, are very much looking forward to our friendly match against Ipswich Town this Wednesday; there are one or two reasons for this...

As soon as the fixture was made, many people started talking about one man in particular, that man being Marcus Stewart.

Marcus used to be banging goals in for The Gas long before players like Nathan Ellington and Jason Roberts. The Gas legend made around 207 appearances for Rovers and scored 79 goals (please correct me if I’m wrong!).

Lets all give him a fantastic reception when he visits us on Wednesday evening as this maybe the last time we'll see him at the Rovers ground...unless of course.... no, forget it, it would never happen...or would it?

I have a feeling though he might find it difficult getting past our brand new defence! We'll see.

This will also be a good chance for fans to see the new look Rovers team, especialy for those who were unable to reach the previous two friendlies which were held at the Hand Stadium, Clevedon.

As always myself will put up a match report within 24 hours of the end of the match.
