WELL DONE! Tottenham Hotspur and Hoddle.

Firstly I would like to congratulate Glenn Hoddle and the board for releasing Teddy Sheringham. It was quite clear (to those who bother watching Tottenham games) that his days as a Spurs player were most defiantly over.

hilst he has been a great servant for the club, he was no longer the player he once was. I have met very few fans that disagree with this and instead thought he should have stayed. There may have been room for him at the club in a coaching role, but I for one did not want him anywhere near the £40k wages he was on. I would have only paid him £500-700 (which is the usual amount for coaches) and do you see someone like Sheringham agreeing to take this sort of drop in salary? NO! Neither do I.
So I applaud you Hoddle and I applaud you Spurs for this decision..
If this is the only reason for the onslaught in the press this week, then they are obviously overpaid in what they do. They obviously do not know the views of the majority of the Spurs fans in regard to this issue. These people (can I call them that?) are threatening to ruin this club. They are breaking up the spirit and dividing us the fans. We know what we need to do, and do not need them as a judge jury and executioner. If we are not careful this will become our focus of attention for this season, as a result we will end up missing out on some good bargains (player wise). We know Hoddle is under pressure, as I am sure the board does. What we do not need is the talons of the press scarring this club. Please ignore what they have to say and reserve judgement for yourself. Its about time we stick together as fans.
