Spurs news: A new dawn has finally broken

We are almost on the brink of a European breakthrough via our league position something we haven’t done for over 20 years I believe, and finally we can start to feel the winds of change.

During the Santini departure time and the following defeats it would have appeared that the wheels fell off very quickly but all credit to the entire Management they have started to prove a Continental set-up can work or have the potential to.

Even if we don’t qualify for European football this season we can draw some comfort that we have dropped some points when the ship wasn’t a steady one, something that wont happen next season. We do at last look like a proper football team, something Hoddle, The man in the raincoat, Gross and all other have failed to do since Venables, when you look at it in that light then hey there is hope. The desire is there in some of the players, in my opinion we need to get the players with the right attitude in and positive mentality to play for the club, you only have to look as far as Brown to see that. Positive mentality breads from the top down, something that you never heard from Bleat and Co, but now Frank can speak freely of European qualification, even getting into the Champions League ok maybe not now but when the current lads start to fuse, this can only motivate the eleven players as they trot out on Sunday.

The team still needs some work too, the probable departures of Davies, Keane and maybe Pamarot and Kanoute who for me has been lazy and has the wrong attitude, will free up some cash and clear the squad of some deadwood. Some new faces yet to appear in the form of Tainio & Huddlestone already having packed their bags for the sunshine of N17.

I have never felt so optimistic about a proceeding season when we still have something to play for come May, but we still have Bolton, Boro (who played for the first time in Europe this season and my find that a huge motivation for some of their players) and maybe Villa, who are fired up and ready to qualify themselves, but looking through the team sheets of our remaining fixtures and we should get through just fine.


This season has been progress, next season will be explosive !
