Today we will play the Mauritian National team ranked no 143 by FIFA so I thought I would remind you all of the 1974 Mauritius tour of June 1974.

On that tour we played a Mauritius select XI three times and the results were as follows;


8th June we won 5-1 with a Chivers hat-trick and a brace from Alan Gilzean

13th June we won 6-3, the goals coming from Cyril Knowles (pen), Alan Gilzean (2), Steve Perryman (2) and Martin Peters

And on the 16th June we won 6-0, The goals on this occasion scored by Ralph Coates, Steve Perryman, Alan Gilzean (Hat-trick) and Martin Peters.

Now they say there is no easy game in International football anymore so I wonder if we will see a similar scoreline today?
