Welsh Premier side Llanelli produced a gutsy display in a narrow first leg defeat against Odense in the Uefa Cup second qualifying round.
The Danes started brightly and took a 30th-minute lead when Bechara Oliveira converted Jonas Borring's low cross.

Morten Fevang missed a glorious chance to double the lead when he hit the post from six yards after 50 minutes.

Oliveira then forced a save from Duncan Roberts, but Llanelli improved and held out comfortably to keep the tie alive.

Llanelli gave a debut to former Wales defender Andy Legg, and the 40-year-old showed his experience as he marshalled the defence in the closing stages.

He even managed to force a save from the Odense goalkeeper in one of Llanelli's rare efforts on goal.

But despite being outplayed for the majority of the game, Llanelli will return home knowing they have a great chance of overturning the deficit in the second leg at Swansea's Liberty Stadium on 24 August.
