Welcome to a new feature at www.lofw.tk . 'League of Wales Stars' will become an in-depth profile on the League's top players.

 

First up, will be Caersws' super striker, Graham Evans, a good friend of ours at www.lofw.tk ! Our roving reporter, Stephen Matthias asks the questions...

Caersws 1995-1998, Aston Villa 1998-2000, Caersws 2000 - present

 MOST MEMORABLE MATCH PLAYED IN:
 

There have a few, scoring my first LoW goal aged 15, playing for Wales at Schoolboy level, Playing for the victorious Welsh Semi-pro side in this
 years Home Nations Competition and finishing joint top scorer, and playing  for Caersws in the Intertoto games.

 MOST MEMORABLE MATCH YOU'VE EVER SEEN:

Again there have been a few but the one that stands out would be Caersws V Swansea in the Welsh Cup in 1989. We drew 0-0 at the Vetch and lost the replay 2-0, with a crowd of nearly 3000  in Caersws.

 HOPES FOR THE SEASON- PERSONAL AND TEAM WISE:

I think the expectation at Caersws this season is quite high, certainly to  equal last years achievements. Although we've lost Matty Griffiths (who I
 considered as by far the best keeper in the League of Wales) we have proven  replacements in Mike Barton and John Sillitoe. It is probably the strongest  squad I've played  with at Caersws and the addition of Colin Reynolds and return of Geraint  Lewis from a long term injury, is a big plus and will add a bit of  competition for places, probably for the first time in many seasons. On a personal note, I'm always looking to play to the best of my ability and  score as many goals as possible, and to hopefully get another chance of  playing in the Professional game.

DO YOU THINK WALES CAN QUALIFY FOR  A MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS?:

With the current squad and manager, I think we have a realistic chance of qualifying this time, as long as everyone can stay fit.
