Crowd Security Arrangements - Loosemores and WC Semi Final

Recently the FAW has been enforcing segregation and/or additional measures at certain matches. Forthcoming games that are warranting full segregation (to our knowledge) include the live televisied game between Llanelli and Rhyl and Rhyl v The New Saints. Earlier games that required segregation this season are the Rhyl v Bangor games that has attracted high profile crowd trouble in the past.

With the Loosemores League Cup Final taking place this weekend and the Welsh Cup Semi Final the week after the spotlight has been on security arrangements for spectators to ry and help ensure the games go smoothly. For those who are intending to travel to Newtown and/or Aberystwyth (Bangor v TNS and Bangor v Bridgend respectively here's the key points revealed thanks to Citizens Choice)

Any spectator found to be in possession of or consuming alcohol in any part of the ground, excluding the Clubhouse,
is to be ejected. (Both games)

Any spectator appearing to be under the influence of alcohol should be denied entry or ejected as appropriate. (Both games)

Spectators will also not be permitted to bring non-alcoholic drinks in cans or bottles into the ground. (Both games)

Fans will not be segregated, but groups of fans are not to be permitted to migrate from one part of the ground to another. Refreshment and Toilet facilities will be provided in all parts of the ground (Both games)

No spectators will be allowed along the roadway at the Car Park end of the ground and spectators will not be permitted to stand at the opposite end of the ground but must occupy the seats provided. (At Park Avenue the empty end will be closed and those in the Dias Stand must remain seated)

The Clubhouse will be open pre and post match, but no alcohol will be served one hour prior to the match and at half time. (both games)

Any spectator who encroaches onto the Field of Play at any time will be ejected and appropriate warnings will be broadcast over the PA system (Both games)

W-P.CO.UK hopes that all fans whatever game you attend in the coming weeks has an enjoyable and safe outing.

I think it goes a long way to showing who the trouble makers are in the end. Bangor fans allowed to mingle with TNS fans no matter how small a crowd they bring.

rhyl emerging as the instigators of all the trouble in the WP.
