DRUIDS ANNOUNCE NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL CEFN DRUIDS is delighted to announce it has a new sponsor and, as a result, will have a new name for the 2009/10 season.

CEFN DRUIDS is delighted to announce it has a new sponsor and, as a result, will have a new name for the 2009/10 season.

Club directors have been busily negotiating with Oswestry based company Elements Europe since learning that the six year old partnership with NEWI was not to be renewed.

The club will kick off the 2009/10 Welsh Premier League season as Elements Cefn Druids.

Players, officials and supporters will be introduced to their new backers at the club’s annual presentation evening at Plas Kynaston tonight (Friday).

Elements Europe is one of the UK’s leading offsite construction specialists and is a sister company to J Ross Developments, who will be developing a new stadium for the Druids at nearby The Rock, Rhosymedre, and build a new Tesco store on the Plas Kynaston ground.

Elements Europe's latest innovative product is Ty Unnos Modular, a Welsh softwood modular house that will assist the delivery of affordable homes. The factory manufactured modules will be delivered to site internally complete - rapidly improving housing delivery programmes.

The new ground is required to ensure the club meets the new criteria drawn up by the FA of Wales for clubs competing in the new "Super Ten" Welsh Premier league in 2010/11. Otherwise Druids will be relegated to the Cymru Alliance League.

Druids' chairman, Brian Mackie, said: "Cefn Druids Football Club is delighted to announce that Elements Europe are to be the new club sponsors.

"Following the decision by NEWI not to renew their sponsorship, the board of directors have been looking hard to find a replacement in difficult times.

"In Elements Europe we have found an ambitious company to match the club’s ambitions, moving forward eventually into our new stadium.

"We look forward to working with them next season and hope it will be the start of a fruitful partnership for both parties."

Wayne Morgan, Managing Director of Elements Europe, said he hoped the partnership would be beneficial for both parties.

"Cefn Druids face a period of upheaval, leaving a ground they have occupied for around 50 years, and we are pleased that our sponsorship arrangement will help to make a smooth transition between old and new homes," he said.

"The club faces a huge challenge to stay at the top level of Welsh football as new ground criteria are imposed by the Football Association of Wales. We will be ensuring that they have the best possible facilities in the new stadium."

Spose this is the price you have to pay to bring in much needed cash to help stay afloat, "UP the Elements" couldn't imagine that being a popular chant at home game though winking smiley

bound to bring in a lot of money though with the Tesco's and new stadium development running into many millions of pounds for the new sponsors. Must have been a done deal before Newi pulled out with a lot of back scratching, but good luck to them if that's what it takes

Have to admit it's a bloody awful name. At least the previous prefixes of Flexys and NEWI had some kind of ring to it, whether you liked them or not!

However, these are the times we live in, so if it keeps us playing at the highest level possible then will have to grin and bear it.
