The opening day of the Welsh Premier season saw Airbus UK secure a shock 1-0 win at Newtown, but fellow newboys Llanelli were hit for 6 at Bangor City. Champions Rhyl were beaten 2-1 at Haverfordwest and Druids were humiliated by classy Caersws.
