Andy Welsh has been recalled by manager Carlton Palmer, and goes straght into the squad for Saturdays Cheshire derby game against Crewe. Welsh has impressed other Cheshire neighbours Macclesfield Town while on loan there, and Ex-Stockport Assistant Dave Moss was keen to keep him at the Moss Rose.

Andy Welsh has been recalled early from his loan period with neighbours Macclesfield Town.

It will be a big blow to the Silkmen after the winger put in some impressive performances at the Moss Rose.
Welsh now goes straight into Carlton Palmer's squad for the Cheshire derby with Crewe Alexandra at Edgeley Park on Saturday.

He's expected to start in the new 442 formation which we saw tested in the 2-1 win over Peterbourgh on Tuesday, with Kevin Ellison dropping to the bench.
