West Bromwich Albion were celebrating good news at last this afternoon after the club received news that the red card issued to Paul Robinson midweek has been rescinded. Robinson was shown red by referee Rob Styles just before half time of the game with Manchester United at the Hawthorns on Tuesday.
The Baggies went on to lose the game 5-0, but had to play the entire second half with just ten men after Styles sent Robinson for an early bath after adjudging him to have committed a serious foul on Ji-Sung Park.
The FA reached their decision after watching TV replays of the event, and Robinson will not have to serve a three match ban.
