Gregan Joins Leeds

Former skipper Gregan joins Championship side Leeds United in a £1million deal. The former Preston man has signed for Kevin Blackwell's on a 3-year-deal.

Blackwell had been chasing Gregan for the past three months told the Leeds United official website: ""Sean is a tremendous player and will be a great asset to our squad in terms of leadership, personality and talent; we're delighted he's joined us,"

Gregan said of the deal: "You can see that just from walking about the place, with the training ground, the set-up and being around the city centre. I knew it was a bigger club before I signed,"

"Looking at Leeds, it's realistic to say we could be playing them in the Premiership next season. There's no reason why it can't happen.

"It would be an ideal scenario. The manager believes he can get Leeds promoted, and so do I, otherwise I wouldn't have come here.''
