OWEN ROBERTS

Left sided player, equally adept in defence or midfield, who signed for Leigh under the management of Stuart Humphreys from UniBond League side Clitheroe in January 2007 after previously playing for Burnley and Kendal Town. Roberts made a total of 31 appearances during 2007/2008, scoring two goals. The two goals arrived in consecutive home games, the first in a 2-2 league draw with Boston United at Hilton Park on November 3rd 2007, and the second in a 4-2 Lancashire FA Trophy win over former club Clitheroe on November 13th 2007.

The summer of 2008 saw Roberts return to previous club Clitheroe of the UniBond League Division One North before later joining Radcliffe Borough.
