Collieries cup tie postponed

The Lancashire FA Co-Operative Challenge Trophy First Round tie between Atherton Collieries and Leigh Genesis, scheduled to take place tonight (Monday 17th November), has been postponed for a second time after the Alder House pitch failed a inspection.
No new date has been confirmed for the twice-postponed cup tie.

Colls were at home on Saturday, so I can only presume the pitch cut up in the rain and can't take two games in three days.

If anyone is interested then Curzon had the worst possible preparation for their cup game at Kidderminster as they lost 1-0 to a late goal. Both sides played some decent football, a lot better game than I'd imagined likely.

Suprised this tie has taken precedence over an already arranged fixture but it looks like (weather permitting) the Colls game will be next monday

I cant understand how two teams situated 2 miles apart could'nt have and arranged for the game to be considered for a wednesday night kick off if the weather improved. The weathers been a bit dryer the last two days
That said I have'nt seen the pitch so it could still be in a bit of a state

better not result in the prescott game being moved manage get night off work for that.

I never knew you was so fond of Tameside. Im sure theres a couple of travelodges or premier inns you could stay in. Why not go away there for the weekend?

just been confirmed colls game is this monday ashton game to be rescheduled thou there midweek night being monday it should be on a monday leading up to christmas i reckon. lets prey that the weather ok for this one. if its postponed again then it wed 26th it will be played.

For some strange reason, county cups get priority even over league games, never mind league cup!
Hope it goes ahead next Monday, not sure whether or not Colls reserves are at home on Saturday so that might affect the state of the pitch.
Ashton's midweek night is on a Monday so might imagine that will be pencilled it for Monday 1st December? If so, it'd mean games away to AUFC on the Monday and the following Saturday!
