Alan Kershaw's preparations for Saturday's home game with Trafford have taken a hit with the news that goalkeeper Adam Judge (pictured) has opted to join league rivals Chester with immediate effect.
Judge impressed Chester when he performed superbly in the 1-1 draw between the sides at the Exacta Stadium in October and they have been keeping tabs on him ever since as they continue to chase promotion from the Evo-Stik League First Division North at the first attempt since being formed out of the ashes of former Football League club Chester City.
Kershaw already has a ready-made replacement in the squad in the shape of experienced goalkeeper Phil Priestley, though it is obviously a big loss to lose a player of his quality.
Judge joined the club in the summer of 2010 after previously playing for Formby and played in a total of twenty five games with his final outing coming in last night's 8-0 loss at home to Witton Albion.
Judge leaves Leigh with the club's best wishes, obviously discounting the meeting between the clubs at Crilly Park on Tuesday 1st February!
Saturday's game with Trafford takes place at Crilly Park at 3pm, with admission costing £7 for adults, £5 for over 65's and students and just £2 for under 18's.

Judgey played for Chester today, kept a clean sheet and had a very good game apparently. Would expect him to keep his place as Whiteside hardly covered himself in glory against us last week.
Think we can hold are own against anyone on are day as Chester found out,specially at crilly.teams will need battle for take 3points of us.can't pass it about aswel as they'd like on are pitch.
