Canvey Island v. Leigh RMI preview

Leigh RMI make their first trip to Canvey Island to face the Conference newboys without a large bulk of their side after the squad was remarkably hit with a bout of 'flu and the mumps virus that has swept across the area.

The illness has wreaked havoc throughout the Leigh and Wigan areas and has struck down eleven of Phil Starbuck's players, with several of the club's academy players set to fill in. Striker Steve Burton will make his RMI debut after signing a month long deal with the club from Conference rivals Scarborough.
