AS Airdrie 7-1 Whinhall

Airdrie made a few changes for this “derby” game with Ian Shaw joining Morrison and K.Pardoe on the injury list. Scott Graham, Clark, Hetherington, Hughes, Brady & Capaldi all unavailable McCall, Adams and Ross Graham came into the side with new man Radose on the bench with Burton & McPake. The game was minutes old when Adams pace caught out the away defence who could only bring the striker down in the box, Scott Lindsay slotted home his sixth goal in 3 games. Airdrie made it two soon after, a neat move down the left saw Pardoe carry the ball into the Whinhall half, his pass found Smith in the centre who set up McCall who took a touch before firing past the keeper from just inside the box. Airdrie became a tad complacent after this allowing Whinhall lots of possession before getting to grips with the game again. The third goal duly arrived just before half time with a wonderful move Graham & Pardoe exchanged passes on the Airdrie left before Graham sent the ball up to Adams who laid it off for Lindsay his touch saw Graham involved again with an neat one two before Lindsay played in Pardoe who curled a side foot finish into the top corner. Half Time 3-0 Second half saw Radose introduced for Edgar with McCall dropping into full back. Airdrie finished the game off early as Graham took a quick long throw to catch the defence napping; Gray won the race to the ball and lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box. Neil Pardoe made it five as Adams robbed the centre back of the ball, Pardoe picked up the loose ball and strolled into the box finishing low past the keeper. Radose got the 6^th after a set play Whinhall failed to clear there lines and Radose fired home from just inside the box. Radose and Graham were involved for the seventh taking a short corner they worked a one two in to the box and Grahams effort was deflected past the keeper for an OG.
