Update on the Dudley/Falkirk situation

Updated tonight, it seems like things are moving ahead in a number of directions, some will effect Airdrie Untited directly others won't.

It seems Jim Ballantyne director of Airdrie United was contacted by Campbell Christie of Falkirk.

Cambell Christie on Friday of last week was looking for information on who to speak to concerning leasing the stadium. Jim Ballantyne passed him on to Armando of Dudley construction.

Jim Ballantyne has been assured that Falkirk are not intrested in doing any harm to Airdrie United but are persuing every avenue they can to enssure entrance into the Premier League. No matter what happens the Premier League will not change their rules for next season. However for season 2004/2005 we may see changes.

It does seem that no matter the circumstances Falkirk may be sharing with us come the end of March this year. They have been asked by Morrisons to vacate the site Brokenville sits on.

It has also been made clear that Dudley Construction see Airdrie United as their long term tenants and do not want to cash in on Falkirks situation just to make a quick buck.

Further to a meeting to be held mid-week, between Airdrie United chairman Jim Ballantyne and Dudley, this is all that is available on the situation.
