So have you joined the Airdrie United Supporters Society Ltd ? The Trust as we like to call it has finally been registered and in the next few days announcements about some fund raising events and the official launch date will be announced.
So the poll shows some good signs that the support, well those who use the Stomp, are interested in securing the future of Airdrie United by joining the Trust. 74% of those who voted either have or intend to join and if this average continues to those who do not use the web site it will be a fantastic result for all involved.
resultsThe split was actually 42% have already joined, 32% have not joined but do intend to. Next on the list at only 13% were those not interested in the Trust at all, which gives the Trust board and members a challenge. All fans are here for converting (wrong term, maybe) and assuming it was only Airdrie fans that voted work on this will begin soon.
The last two, came in at 11% who said they new nothing about the Trust at all. well over the next few weeks your going to and finally at a measly 2% were those who think that it is now ok to sit back and think we are secure. Apathy has always been and always will be biggest problem for Airdrie and i am glad that there are those out there who are willing to work and fight for the future now, rather than when it may be to late to do anything about it. Sound familiar!!!!
I would also like to point out that because the Trust has been registered officially as a mutual and provident company all aspects of it are open to scrutiny by any member and is open to all sides of the support and community.
For more information contact Veronica MacGregor at aufcfansrep@hotmail.com or alternatively register as a member of the Stomp and enter the Trust message board.
Ok onto the next poll, a request from Andy Waite has suggested we get an estimate of how many season tickets we think will be sold. Last season estimates put the count at around 700 an all time record for Airdrie, so what's your estimates?
