One of the second Division teams will be guaranteed a place in the semi-finals of the Bells Challenge cup after tomorrow nights games, Will it be Airdrie United or Forfar?
Airdrie have to put a terrible performance against Hamilton behind them if they are to progress any further in this competition. Forfar on the other hand came away from Arbroath with a share of the spoils. Confidence among fans seems to be very low, from the highs of starting the season favourites to having lost two of our first three league games and barely scraping a win against Alloa.
The cup on the other hand, just like the Airdrie teams of old, we have put together a good run so far winning against Montrose and Morton to get us this far.
Two late goals against Albion Rovers brought Forfar this far with a 4-2 win and in the first round a 4-0 win over Elgin City got them into the second round
Injury worries still plague Sandy Stewarts Airdrie United with Stephen McKeown, Lee Gardner out and Stephen Docherty rated 50/50
Forfars Ray Stewart has no injury worries and can include Allan Rattray and Robbie Horn in the team after they served suspensions
