Brechin -V- Airdrie Bells Challenge cup Semi final

Airdrie travel to Brechin tomorrow to play in the first ever semi final match to be played at Glebe park, after the disappointment of Saturdays match against East Fife the cup will be a welcome break from the league.

The winner of tomorrows game now know who they will face in the finals, Inverness Caley Thistle beat Antonio Calderons, Raith Rovers 4-0 to secure the first final place.

As we all know Brechin just pipped us to promotion from the second division last season.

Brechin however are sitting at the bottom of the first division and only picked up their first point at the weekend against St Mirren in a 1-1 draw. Dick Campbell, Brechin manager has one doubt Chris Jackson and has the possible return of Jamie Smith and Grant Johnson to bolster his squad.

Sandy Stewart still has Stephen Docherty, who may be fit for the weekend, Lee Gardner and more importantly Stephen McKeown missing from the squad. Lets hope Sandy can drive Airdrie on to our first final under his management.
