Football becoming more and more elitist!

With UEFA announcing today that teams will be banned from playing in major competitions if they are in financial trouble or have to small a park, where has the beautiful game gone supported by most of the world?

Multi-millionaires are being created virtually every day as young stars take to the field, playing for massive pay cheques that those who support the team and would give their life blood for can only dream off.

Scottish football is becoming a shambles, team going into administration left right and centre and all the top flight can think to do is make it harder and harder for teams to reach the pinnacle and take a place in the Self Preservation League.

But has the SPL worked, in my opinion NO, not by any stretch of the imagination. The new way forward for Scottish football has seen two out of the twelve clubs manipulate and bribe their way in to a situation where they have split the other 10 teams who in turn are looking for their own pound of flesh so they can just survive.

How do we change this, many fans have put forward ideas concerning a pyramid system to allow Junior teams to make their way into the football league.

Another suggestion would be to go back to the way it was (way before my time) many years ago where everyone paid for the spectacle and just like the Scottish cup all gate money is split down the middle. That way teams have incomes every single week.

Another suggestion, we hear week in week out that football is now a business not a sport, then why are clubs shut during the best part of the season for playing football. Ok every one needs a holiday, but why not have training camps for kids through the summer? some players get paid all year round so why don't they work all year round and as long as parents are willing to support ideas like this then why can't it work?

Football is going to have to change once again, who will be the first team to set an example to follow that will actually be worth following?
