A decent month behind us or at least a better than expected month. I think the Diamonds will come away from November with a smile on our face.

I had hoped to get three points out of our four matches this month, I thought it was going to be a very tough month with fixtures against Hamilton, Partick Thistle, St Johnstone and Falkirk. I had predicted the three points would come from our home fixture Vs Hamilton but as the following results will show I was proven totally wrong.

It was a strange month the team I expected to beat sat back and hit us on the break, beating us 2-0 Hamilton were content that do not to lose anything and sucker punched us. A week off and then it was Partick if the team played like this every week we would take this league by storm and be sitting in a far more comfortable position than we are now. St Johnstone I don't think anyone can argue we more than deserved to win this fixture but our lack of prowess in front of goal allowed St Johnstone back in the game and we were lucky to get a draw.  Then we have Falkirk who are just that step above the bench mark for the rest of the division.

You set yourself targets every month we all set the team targets every month, some of us accept that we can't win every game, others think there is no team better than us in the league and we should be world beaters, others still,  accept were not the best team in the league but still expect us to win regularly. Well this month is one of those that at the beginning of the season we would hope to be beating the teams involved. Only the well organised Queen of the South have impressed me out of the four and I would hope they won't be sitting with eleven players behind the ball waiting to catch us on the break like they have in our past two games. If we can take nine points from this months fixtures I will be very happy.

Overview

This month gave me more than I expected, that extra point has left us clear of Hamilton but still only sitting in eight position it is to close to the bottom for my liking. A good run in November is more than possible even with the over reaction of some of our fans concerning the departure of Kenny Black
